she's one in a million - a diamond in the rock. 05.29 purple power :) [♥]
i’m honestly not that in the mood to blog after i was gone for like 3 days during the conference. i so there, tada!! haha. this lame lame lame post is simply all about my new lame lame lame theme. watcha think? :) i officially love purple now. weee. moving on, i’m happy to say that i have a new domain. it’s actually my dream domain. yay! :) i won’t be leaving bands, though. i love bands :) i’m still confused on what to do with two blogs. haha. so there. just a simple lame lame lame update about my lame lame lame life on my lame lame lame blog. haha. *the title of this post should be “ 05.24 owwa scholars’ conference [♥]
the conference i attended was the 5th OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) Scholars’ Conference (Luzon Group - delagates are from all over Luzon). and yes, i am an OWWA Scholar. haha. it’s kinda like one of my greatest achievements, you know. hahaha. for you to be able to benefit from the financial support (30k per semester) they grant, you have to be on the top 100 examinees out of thousands (my batch had like 3-4 thousand examinees) who took the test. :D going back, the conference-slash-seminar was held at Lagos Del Sol Resort, Lake Caliraya in Cavinti, Laguna. `twas a really nice place. honestly speaking, i didn’t really enjoy myself that much. oh don’t get me wrong! spending 3 days with almost-total-strangers isn’t as fun as having a simple night out with your girlfriends. but i still had fun, just not to the full extent. ya get what i mean? haha. ![]() the beautiful venue :) the seminars they gave us were about almost all sorts of things - from self awareness to safe sex to proper study habits to economic conditions to financial management to global warming.. yadadada blah blah. haha. we sat for extra loooooong hours listening to lectures about such things. one important feature of the event was the cultural presentation wherein each region from Luzon would be presenting. and guess what? we won first place. haha. cool, right? :) pictures with other scholars ▼ another significant highlight of this event was when i spoke and gave my opinions, learnings, feelings and reactions about the event, in behalf of the region 3 scholars in front of all those people. geeez. it is soo nerve-racking. (picture’s up in there :P it kinda looks like i’m singing but i am sooo not. lol) thank goodness nothing embarrassing happened. it even kinda turned out well, i suppose. haha. ***i’d be entertaining link exchanges, bloghopping/returning comments by tomorrow. sorry for the delay. hope you understand :) |
